Can we talk about the farmer's market in Austin last Saturday
I went to the downtown farmer's market last weekend and noticed some vendors were taking cards through those phone tap things while others only took cash. The card-only lines were way longer and a guy next to me got his order wrong because the machine wouldn't connect. Has anyone else seen this shift at local markets and felt a bit uneasy about it?

felt like such a hassle for everyone" - reminds me of when my buddy tried to Venmo a guy for peaches and his phone died.

Cash only keeps it simple. Those card readers add stress for no reason. The whole point of farmers markets is to slow down, not deal with glitchy tech. Let the lines move faster with cash again.

Last Saturday at the Mueller market the Square reader at the tamale stand kept failing and the lady had to punch everything in manually, felt like such a hassle for everyone. Totally feel you on being uneasy about the tech messing up what's supposed to be a chill shopping trip.
