Unpopular opinion: never buy a car at the Manheim Thursday night sale without a flashlight
I picked up a 2004 Corolla at the Manheim lot in Georgia for $900 two weeks ago and only found the frame rust after I got it home under my garage light. The auction bay lights make everything look clean, so I now bring my own LED flashlight and crawl under every car before I bid. Does anyone else have a trick for spotting hidden rust at these sales?
