I finally stopped chasing rust free cars and bought a roof leak instead

Spent 4 months looking for a clean $4,500 beater and kept walking away because every door sill had rot. Then an old Honda with a sunroof drain clog popped up near Austin for $2,800 and I just bought it. Unclogged the drain with a wire coat hanger in 20 minutes and the carpet dried out fine. The frame is solid, the leak was just water finding a path through a plugged hose. Anyone else quit on rust spots and start fixing water intrusion issues instead?

My $900 Subaru had a trunk leak, turned out to be a taillight gasket, easy fix!
