Don't fall for those 'low mileage' Craigslist ads from old ladies

I drove 2 hours to Bakersfield last weekend for a 2002 Camry that the ad said had only 80k miles and was owned by a little old lady. Turned out the odometer was rolled back and the 'lady' was just some dude flipping junk cars. Wasted $60 in gas and a whole Saturday. Anyone else get burned by these fake grandparent stories?

Holy crap, that's insane! I mean, who even bothers rolling back the odometer on a 2002 Camry? Like, it's already a 20+ year old car, what's the point? I guess if they're flipping junkers, every little lie helps move a sale. That really sucks you had to drive all that way and waste a Saturday on it too. I've seen some sketchy stuff on Craigslist but that's a whole other level of scam. Hope you didn't let it ruin your whole weekend.
