The 2015 Ford Fusion's door handle broke twice and I still think it gets a bad rap
Last week I saw a neighbor fighting with her Fusion's rear door in the grocery lot on 4th Street, and it reminded me of the 2015 model I drove until 2019. The plastic handle snapped off in my hand at 38,000 miles, which is a real flaw, but the fix costs $34 and takes 20 minutes with a socket set, and I never had a problem with the latch itself or the electrics after that. Everyone in this group trashes these cars like they are scrap, but I put 96,000 miles on mine with just that one repair. Am I missing something, or is the door handle complaint just louder than the actual failure rate?
