Did you get a new axle from a parts store or was it a remanufactured one? Those reman axles for Subarus are pretty hit or miss in my experience. I've heard the factory ones hold up way better, even if they cost a bit more upfront. Maybe check the boot clamps too, sometimes those come loose and let dirt in, which kills the joint fast.
