My odometer hit 88,888 and I pulled over just to stare at it
Hit 88,888 miles on my 2012 Focus last Tuesday on Route 9 outside Delaware, Ohio, and I actually pulled into a gas station to take a picture. Here's my thing: half the folks in this group would say that number means nothing, the other half would tell you to sell the car before the next big repair. The Focus has the dry DCT and it's already been into the dealer twice, so part of me thinks the odometer is a countdown and part of me thinks chasing these cute numbers is how you talk yourself into junking a car that still runs. Where's the line between a fun number and a real warning sign? Curious what mile markers you all watch for on a car this forum already knows is trouble.
