My 1998 Accord's door handles kept snapping until I drilled a hole through them
Both front door handles on my 98 Accord broke within 6 weeks of each other, and the replacement ones from the parts store snapped too. Turns out Honda used plastic that gets brittle with heat, so AZ sun just cooked them. I got fed up after the third one and drilled a 1/8 inch hole through the pivot arm, then ran a small bolt through it with a lock nut. That fix has held for over 2 years now and the doors open smooth as ever. Anyone else just give up on factory parts and build your own fix?
