Dropped $600 on a Jeep Cherokee transmission that lasted 8 months

Bought a rebuilt transmission for my 2014 Cherokee from a shop in Phoenix. Died on the highway last week, fluid looked like mud. Anyone else had bad luck with aftermarket Jeep parts?

Man that's rough... $600 for eight months is brutal. I had a similar thing happen with a rebuilt alternator on my old F150, lasted six months and left me stranded at a gas station. Aftermarket parts seem like such a gamble sometimes, you never know if you're getting quality or just a ticking time bomb. Hope you can get some kind of warranty claim through that shop, that's just not right.

Went OEM this time and four years later still running strong. Worth every penny.
