Why does nobody mention the 6am loafers at the Riverside meet

Stopped by the Riverside cars and coffee last Saturday and half the lot was gone by 7:45 because everyone showed up at 8:30 and missed the good stuff. A guy with a clean '69 Camaro told me the real crowd rolls in at 6, grabs coffee, and is out before the parking lot turns into a traffic jam. Is it just me or is showing up early the actual move here?
