Tried backing into my spot at cars and coffee and got roasted
Last Saturday I decided to try parking backwards at the local meet in Austin. Guy with a pristine NSX walks up and says 'nice reverse park job, you scared or something?' Found out the hard way that most folks at these meets prefer seeing your engine bay first. Now I just stick to pulling in forward and popping the hood right away. Anybody else get weird rules about parking at their local spot?

Ran into the same thing at my local meet in Phoenix a few months back. A guy with a widebody GTR told me that backing in is a sign you're about to leave early or you're hiding something under the hood. Turns out the unwritten rule is that the whole point of these meets is to show off what's under there, so they want to see it right away. I started pulling in forward and leaving the hood popped on my STI and nobody says a word now. Did you get any ribbing from the Corvette guys too?

Ha yeah same here! Popping the hood changed everything.
