Thought my exhaust leak was just a rattle for 8 months, then a guy at the Saturday meet in Reno put it on a lift
Turns out the hanger was gone and the pipe was resting on the heat shield, which is why my trunk smelled like fumes every drive. Now I'm wondering how many other 'small noises' I've been ignoring, what's the dumbest thing you let slide way too long?

I mean honestly chasing every little noise is how you end up broke and paranoid, half of them are nothing. My old truck rattled for two years and it was just a loose bolt on the skid plate, cost me zero dollars to fix once I finally looked. Sometimes ignoring stuff IS the right call, you just got unlucky this time.
