Showerthought: I stopped getting blocked in at the Ferndale meet by showing up 15 minutes before the coffee shop opened
Three weeks ago I got boxed into a corner spot at the Ferndale meet for 40 minutes because two guys parked their trucks right across the exit lane. Last Saturday I rolled in at 7:45am, 15 minutes before the shop unlocked, and grabbed a spot near the back row with a clear straight shot out toward the street. Nobody was moving yet so I had the whole lot to myself and just sat there with my thermos watching the slow trickle of cars come in. Turns out the early birds all know about back row and I ended up talking to a guy with a clean old Datsun for like half an hour. Does anyone else have a go-to spot they fight for at their regular meet?
