Rant: a guy at the Saturday meet in Plano swore I needed 2 degrees more camber for the lot, and my tires paid for it
Four months back this older guy with a clean Miata at the Plano meet cornered me by the coffee line and insisted 2 more degrees of camber would fix my front end push on the tight turns. I figured he had been doing this way longer than me, so I dropped $160 at the alignment place off Spring Creek and ran it. Two track days later my inner tire cords were showing and the car honestly felt worse in a straight line. Pulled the camber back to where I started and it drives fine. Anybody else get setup advice at a meet and figure out later the person was just repeating what worked on their car, not yours?
