Why do so many guys stretch carpet before the tack strip is even set?
I was on a job in Tulsa last week and watched a helper start power stretching while half the tack strip still had no nails holding it down, and the whole thing pulled loose by the time we left. You check the strip first, every wall, before the stretcher even comes out of the truck. How do you train new guys on the order of steps without sounding like a jerk about it?
