Warning: I stretched 40 yards of berber in a house with no AC in August and it humbled me
Two summers ago I took a job in Fresno, a 3 bedroom rental, and the homeowner turned the AC off during install to save money. It hit 108 inside by noon. The berber backing got so soft that my knee kicker kept sliding and I wrecked two seams. I finally ran out to a hardware store, grabbed two box fans and a $9 spray bottle, and misted the backing just to keep it workable. Cost me an extra 4 hours and I ate the labor. My question is, do you guys walk off hot jobs or is there a trick for stretching when the room feels like an oven?
