Vent: burned a seam on a 12x15 Berber in a Plano bedroom with my iron set too hot
Was doing a stretch-in last Tuesday off Spring Creek, homeowner wanted the seam right at the closet door. My iron was still cranked from a synthetic job earlier and I didnt check it. Laid the seam tape down and the Berber backing curled up like a chip before I even got the weight on it. Tried to trim it back and re-tape but you could see the melt line from the doorway. Ended up cutting out a 4 inch strip and piecing it under the door shadow where nobody will look, but I ate two hours and the homeowner kept poking her head in. Whats your go-to temp for Berber seams and do you keep a separate iron just for the low melt stuff?
