The day a $40 seam roller ruined my entire Tuesday install

Had a job in Arlington last week, 2,000 sq ft of commercial loop pile. Everything was going smooth until my seam roller wheel seized up mid hallway, the bearing just gave out. Spent 45 minutes fighting it, then had to drive 20 miles to the supplier for a new one. The kicker is the old one was 12 years old, but the new budget one feels flimsy. Is there a middle ground between the cheap rollers and the $150 ones, or do I just suck it up?
