That one Tuesday where everything went wrong in Boise

Had a job last Tuesday in Boise where the customer wanted a full removal of old shag carpet, but the tack strips were glued down like concrete and we found a drum set buried under the padding, not even joking. My helper Josh stepped right on a stray nail around 10am, bled through his boot, and then the power stretcher broke right after. We got it done by 6pm but I swear the carpet pattern was off by 2 inches on one wall. Anyone else ever pull up a floor and find something weird hidden under there that made you question the last installer's life choices?

Hammer the tack strips out with a pry bar and heat gun before you even touch the carpet, saves your whole day.
