Switched from power stretcher to knee kicker for small rooms

Always used a power stretcher for everything. Even tiny bathrooms. Thought knee kickers were old school junk. Then last Tuesday I had a 5x7 hallway. Power stretcher wouldn't fit right. Kept hitting walls. Tried the knee kicker my dad gave me years ago. Finished that hallway in 20 minutes. No wrestling with poles. No dents in drywall. Now I only use the power stretcher for rooms bigger than 12x12. Has anyone else found a case where the old tool works better than the new one?

Knee kicker saved me in a 4x8 laundry room last fall. Power stretcher was way too long and I kept denting the baseboards trying to wedge it in. Switched to the old knee kicker my uncle left in his truck and it was like night and day. Got the carpet stretched tight along the walls without any of that wrestling. Now I keep both tools in the truck and grab whichever one fits the job. What size room made you finally switch over?
