Question about the shift to wider carpet rolls

Three years ago on a job in Springfield, I was still getting 12-foot rolls as standard from most suppliers. Last month, I had a big commercial job where the main supplier only offered 15-foot widths, which changed how we planned the seams. It seems like the wider stuff is becoming the norm to cut down on waste and labor. Has anyone else had to adjust their cutting patterns or tools for these bigger rolls?

Did you find the wider rolls made it harder to handle on site? We had to get a bigger van just to transport them without bending.

Actually found the wider rolls way easier to manage once you're on the ground. Less seams to tape up means the install goes faster. We just lay them flat across the bed of a standard pickup with some plywood underneath for support. The time saved on site totally makes up for the extra care during loading.
