Observe how toddlers use their whole weight to smooth things out. Their low center of gravity lets them press down better. Ngl, we overcomplicate simple fixes they handle instinctively.
That corner of my living room carpet always flips up no matter what I do. A kid pressing on it might smooth it out for a bit, but it'll just come back... we're talking about a quick fix for a small problem. It's not some big insight into toddler genius.
