Hit 100 yards of carpet stretched in a single day for the first time
Always thought that number was just for the big crews, but a new knee kicker and a simple pattern job in a new build got me there. Anyone else have a personal daily record they were surprised to hit?

That new knee kicker must have been a game changer for your speed. I remember switching to a power stretcher on a big open room and it felt like cheating, just flying through the rows. Sometimes it's not just the crew size but having the right tool for the specific job. Makes you wonder what other numbers we could hit with small gear upgrades.

Oh man, that reminds me of my buddy who finally got a seam roller with a heated base. He said it was like night and day on some of that tricky commercial vinyl, @tessac25. Totally changed his whole week.

Honestly, I've had the opposite happen. I got a fancy power stretcher last year and spent more time fiddling with it than actually stretching. For my usual jobs, which are mostly smaller rooms with lots of cuts, my old reliable knee kicker is still faster. The right tool really depends on the layout.
1
