Why waste $200 on a cheap circular saw blade set

I bought a 5 pack of off brand blades off Amazon last month to save money. First cut on a sheet of 3/4 plywood, the blade started smoking and the cut was rough as hell. Ended up tossing the whole set after 2 days and grabbing a Diablo. Saved maybe $30 upfront but lost way more in wasted material and time. Anyone else get burned by cheap blade deals?

Wait is it really that bad though lol I bought a cheap 6 pack off some no name brand on eBay like a year ago and they're still kicking. Not the smoothest cuts ever but for framing and rough work they get the job done fine.

Jumped into using a cheap blade on some treated lumber and the carbide tips literally flew off on the third cut. One chunk hit me in the arm and left a bruise for a week. Saved maybe 15 bucks but almost got a trip to urgent care for it. Sometimes cheap means dangerous not just bad cuts.
