I finally switched my router from a nail gun to a framing hammer

For two months I was using my 21-degree nail gun for every soffit strap, and the constant compressor trips made the whole job take twice as long. Then I borrowed a buddy's 20-ounce hammer in Madison and beat out the same strap in 15 minutes without waiting for air. Does anyone else carry a hammer even when they're doing all-fastener work, or am I just stuck in old habits?
