Built a set of sawhorses out of scrap 2x4s in my garage 6 months ago, still can't get the wobble out of one leg
Made these things back in April out of a pile of 2x4s I had left over from a deck job, and three of the four legs sit dead flat on my slab. The fourth one rocks maybe 1/8 inch no matter how many times I trim it. I checked my garage floor with a 4 foot level and sure enough there is a low spot right where that leg lands. I tried sanding the bottom at an angle, tried shimming it with a piece of tar paper, nothing sticks for more than a week of use. I know a lot of guys just build them so the floor does not matter, like with a little play built in. Do you folks cut your legs to sit on the floor as-is or do you leave a gap and just not worry about it?
