700 and something consecutive days of waking up to a 6am alarm just to sit in a beige cubicle was the number that finally clicked for me. I did the math on the average 30 minute commute each way and that was another 1250 hours of my life spent staring at brake lights. Realizing I had only used 12 of my 25 vacation days over the entire 7 years really sealed the deal. That's the moment I started updating my resume aggressively.

Did you ever calculate the actual dollar value of that unused vacation time? Because that one really stings when you see it in black and white. Ngl, the commute math hit me the same way, especially when I realized I was spending over $200 a month on gas just to sit in traffic. Those little numbers add up fast and make you wonder why you put up with it for so long.
