Switched to a 4-day work week 6 months ago and my productivity actually went up 15%

I moved to a new tech company in Austin last January that mandates 4x10s, and after tracking my output for 6 months I'm finishing more projects than I ever did in 5 days somewhere else - has anyone else found that shorter weeks just force you to stop procrastinating?

Dig into the data a bit - are you seeing the same project completion rate across all types of work? Like creative stuff vs boring admin tasks lol. Because I've noticed when I switch to compressed weeks, my deep work gets done faster but the little maintenance tasks pile up. The hard part for me was figuring out which kind of work actually benefits from the shorter week and which suffers. Curious if you tracked any specific categories or just overall output.

Are you actually keeping a spreadsheet on this stuff with categories and everything? Feels like overthinking a pretty simple schedule change. I just did it, noticed some stuff got harder and some got easier, and adjusted from there.
