Spent $400 on a career coaching program and it just told me to update my LinkedIn.
After 12 years in landscaping I paid a coach $400 to tell me the same stuff I could have found in a free blog, and now I'm going back to my old job with a new sprinkler system quote tomorrow.

Laugh out loud that's basically paying someone to tell you to make your online resume look prettier. For $400 you could have bought a nice new shovel and actually moved some dirt instead. Hope the sprinkler system quote works out better than that career coach did.

What was the career coach even supposed to do for $400? I mean, isn't a resume just a list of jobs and what you did there? You can probably get the same advice from a YouTube video for free or just ask a friend who's good at writing to look it over. Maybe if they also helped you practice for interviews or something it could be worth it, but just for a prettier resume that seems like a lot. idk, maybe I'm just cheap but that money could go toward something tangible like you said.
