Looked up my old salary from 2014 the other day and got hit with a shock
I was digging through old tax files and saw I was making $42k back then as an assistant manager, now I'm at $63k in a totally different field doing property management. Has anyone else gone back and crunched the numbers on how much a career switch actually changed your take home pay?

Honestly though, $42k to $63k over a decade isn't that wild of a jump when you factor in inflation and cost of living increases. Feels less like a career switch payday and more like you just kept up with the times.

Did I at least get a free pizza out of the deal?
