Took me 4 months to figure out why my resumes kept getting auto rejected

Kept getting passed over for jobs I was qualified for until a recruiter in Dallas finally told me my resume was going through an ATS system and the formatting was messing up the keyword scan, so has anyone else dealt with this and what actually fixed it for you?
