TIL hitting 500 follow-up emails sent was the real milestone, not the 50 replies I got.

Do you think sending more touchpoints is better than perfecting each one, or is volume just noise that annoys people?

My last campaign had a 312 email sequence (yeah, I know) and honestly the open rates were fine but the unsubscribe rate was brutal. I think it really depends on your audience - some people genuinely appreciate the reminder if they forgot to reply, but others get annoyed fast. For me, volume works better when I space it out with real value in each one, not just "hey checking in again" type stuff. Your 50 replies out of 500 sounds rough though, man. That grind is real.

Yeah the "spacing it out with real value" part is key. Too many people just blast the same "just checking in" over and over and it's like yeah, no wonder they're unsubscribing. If each email actually teaches them something or solves a small problem, they're way more likely to stick around even if the sequence is long.

Real value in every email is overrated honestly. Most people don't even read half the stuff you send, they just scan the subject line and delete it. You're better off keeping them short and to the point, not writing a whole article every time. Volume matters more because it keeps your name in their face, and if they unsubscribe they weren't gonna buy anyway lol. People say they want value but they really just buy when they're ready, not because you taught them something in email 12 of 50. All that "value" stuff is just marketing bloggers trying to sell courses.
