Stayed at a toxic job for the 401k match or jumped to a startup with no benefits - what did you pick?
I had to decide between sticking with a manager who micromanaged everything for a 6% match or taking a role at a small tech company in Austin with equity but no retirement plan. I went with the startup because the equity paid off after 3 years, but I know people who regret leaving that security. Which way did you go and how did it turn out?

Oh gosh, I gotta push back on that. A 6% match is real money growing tax-free for decades, I'd take that over startup equity that might be worthless in a down round.
