I froze mid sentence in a job interview and almost walked out, but the HR lady stopped me at the door
Two weeks ago I was in a conference room in Columbus interviewing for an office manager spot and my brain just went blank when they asked why I left my old job. I sat there for what felt like a full minute, then said "I honestly need a second" and asked for a sip of water. The HR lady smiled and said take your time, and the whole thing turned into a normal chat after that. Got a callback on Friday. Has anyone else gone blank in an interview and still landed the job?
