Honestly, hitting 40k in my first year as a freelancer blew my mind
Tbh I was just trying to cover rent in Austin, but that number proved I could actually build a real business. Anyone else get shocked by a goal they never thought they'd reach?
My buddy just told me his 1-bedroom in Zilker jumped from $1,400 to $1,900 this year for no good reason. That's basically a car payment worth of extra money down the drain every month for the same cracked tile floor. Is anyone actually finding deals out there or is it all just overpriced shoeboxes now?
