The finance guy at Riverside Auto literally winked when he handed me the 84 month paperwork
He said "don't worry about the total, just focus on the monthly" and I signed for $612 a month on a car worth maybe $19k. That was 14 months ago and I still owe more than it's worth, so now I'm wondering if I should just eat the gap and refinance with my credit union or ride it out. Anyone actually gotten a decent refi after getting hosed on the backend?
Refinanced my wife's Camry at Bellco after a year of getting buried on a 72 month. Rate dropped from 11% to 4.9% and they didn't care that I was upside down, they just rolled it in. Call your credit union and ask for the payoff number first so you walk in knowing the real damage.
