Refinanced my 2019 Civic and my payment went from $410 to $287, but I'm scared I made a mistake
I bought a 2019 Honda Civic in March 2023 at a dealership in Reno with a 14.2% APR because my credit was rough, and I was paying $410 a month for 72 months. Last week I got approved for a refinance at 6.9% through a local credit union, which drops it to $287, but I still owe $19,400 on a car worth maybe $15,000. Did I just stretch out the pain, or is this actually the right move? Anyone here refinance and regret it later?
