My A/C compressor died 400 miles from home and the dealer quote made me do math I hate

Last Thursday the compressor seized on my 2019 truck near Flagstaff, the dealer said $2,100 plus labor, and I spent the whole drive back wondering if a $350 used part from eBay and a weekend of knuckle scraping is actually the smarter move, anyone else hit that point where the repair bill makes you question the whole loan?

Damn, grab a junkyard compressor and a buddy with a Saturday free, that dealer price is pure robbery.
