I finally stopped rolling negative equity into my next car loan, and it saved me $4,200
Back in 2019 I traded in a Honda I still owed about $6k on and the dealer just tacked that onto a new loan so I was paying for a car I didn't even have anymore. Last week I walked out on a deal when the finance guy showed me the payoff sheet and my old loan was still sitting there. How do you guys handle the gap when you owe more than the car is worth?
