Took me 3 weekends to find a vacuum leak that was right in front of my face
My 97 Civic was idling rough and stalling at stoplights, so I tore through the intake boot, checked the gaskets, sprayed carb cleaner everywhere. Spent two full Saturdays chasing nothing. Then I noticed the brake booster hose had a hairline crack hidden under the rubber sleeve, barely visible unless you flexed it. One $8 piece of vacuum line from O'Reilly's and 20 minutes later, the thing runs perfect. Has anyone else burned a whole weekend on a stupid rubber hose that looked fine from the outside?
