My uncle swore by $30 used tires for his 1999 Camry, then one blew on I-5 near Tacoma
He kept bragging about saving $400 a set until a rear tire shredded at 60 mph and he had to pay a tow plus a new fender. Now he checks date codes and won't touch anything past 6 years old. Anyone else get burned by hand-me-down tire advice?
