I used to think junkyard engines were always a gamble, but now I grab them every time

Five years ago I spent $1200 on a rebuilt motor for my old Civic, and it blew a head gasket in 6 months. Swapped in a $250 junkyard engine last year from a 98 Accord with 140k miles, did a compression test and changed the timing belt myself, and it's been solid for 15,000 miles. Anyone else find that low-mileage junkyard pulls hold up better than those cheap rebuilds from shady shops?

Nah man, cheap rebuilds are straight trash. Junkyard pulls have way more miles on em but they're just honest.
