Dude at the Pick n Pull in Phoenix tried to sell me a "rare" alternator off a 2003 Corolla
Was digging through the engine bay of a wrecked Corolla at the Pick n Pull off Broadway in Phoenix when this guy rolls up and asks if I need an alternator. He pulls one out, hands greasy, and swears it's a "rare high output" one and wants $40 cash. I looked it up on my phone right there and it's the exact same 80 amp unit that's in like every junkyard Corolla in the state, so I offered him $15. He got super offended, told me I don't know real value, and put it back in his trunk. Two rows over I grabbed the same part for $12 off the shelf. Anyone else run into these guys who think every stock part is gold?
