Watched a guy get piled on for a tweet at a city council meeting in Boise, then he showed the full video
So I was at the Boise city council meeting on Tuesday for a zoning thing, and during public comment this guy gets up and people start yelling at him because of some tweet he posted 3 months ago. He didn't defend himself right away. He just pulled up the full 8 minute clip on his phone and played it over the room speakers. The line everyone was mad about was a reply to someone else, and the first 40 seconds were him agreeing with the person he supposedly attacked. Took maybe 90 seconds for the room to go quiet. I've been following cancel stuff online for a while but seeing it happen live in a room of like 60 people was different. Anyone else been in a room when a pile-on fell apart in real time?
