Vent: my rule used to be screenshot first, judge later, and it cost a guy his job
Three years back I used to share cancel clips right away, no pause, no checking who made it or when. Then a barista in Lansing got dragged for something she never posted, and I found out after I had already passed it to 400 people in a group chat. Now I wait a full day and look for the original post before I react to anything. It is slower and I miss some of the fun, but I have not helped wreck a person since. How long does everybody else hold off before they jump in?

Read somewhere that most viral clips get shared way before anyone checks if they're real, so waiting a day seems smart.
