This guy in Fresno told me I was "fake nice" for the way I talk to cashiers, and 4 years later I still think about it
He said it at a house party in 2021, that I smile too hard and ask too many questions to people just doing their jobs, like I'm performing kindness instead of being real, and half of me thinks he was projecting his own guilt while the other half wonders if he actually caught something fake in me.
