There's this small creator I follow who got dogpiled for an old joke that was clearly taken out of context, and I always stayed quiet because I hate conflict. Last week I saw the thread hit 500 angry replies and I just couldn't watch it anymore, so I posted a calm breakdown of the original video timestamp and how the joke was referencing a movie scene. Three people actually replied saying they checked and agreed, and one of the loudest cancel voices deleted their comment. Has anyone else found that one polite, fact-based reply can actually shift a mob, or did I just get lucky with this crowd?
