Can we talk about that big cancelation on Claire from 2 years back

I was deep into that whole Claire drama last week and found something weird. She got canceled for that old tweet about cultural appropriation, but I dug into the screenshots and they were cropped bad. The full thread actually showed her admitting she was wrong and learning from it, but nobody posted that part. Did anyone else notice the other side got buried or am I just seeing things?

Wait, is this the same Claire drama where people were acting like she said the n-word at a Klan rally when really she just wore a bad Halloween costume in 2011? I spent like 3 hours last weekend scrolling through old screenshots and my eyes are still recovering from that rabbit hole, kind of like how my eyes look after grading 80 essays in one night which is definitely not a brag just a sad life choice. But yeah, you're totally right - I found the same thing. The original tweet thread showed her having a whole convo with someone where she admitted she messed up and even said she donated to some cultural orgs after. The cropped version that went viral just showed the bad part and cut off the redemption arc. It's wild how folks will take a tiny piece of a story and run with it like it's the whole truth, especially with old tweets where people actually grew up since then. Makes me wonder how many cancelations were based on half-baked screenshots like that, cause I've been burned by taking stuff at face value before too.
