TIL my camping kettle isn't stable on rough surfaces

Tbh, it keeps tipping over on uneven ground. It's a real safety concern. Can anyone recommend a more stable model?

Maybe placement matters more than design, @betty_park62, mine sits fine if I find a flat spot first.

Describe the base of your current kettle. Is it completely round or does it have a flat bottom?

Last season at Yellowstone, my buddy's camping kettle had a weighted, flat bottom that stayed put on gravel. I read in an outdoor magazine that a wide base prevents most tip-overs. @jakeb73 is right to ask about the base shape because round bottoms are super unstable. Some kettles add silicone rings or non-skid pads for extra grip on rocks. My old one wobbled constantly until I got a model with a broader stance. Now my boiling water doesn't end up in the fire pit.
