Serious question, I just found out my $15 camp stove was set up wrong for 3 years
I was camping at Lake George last month and my buddy watched me fiddle with my stove for like 5 minutes before he pointed at the little metal cup thing under the burner. Turns out I had the heat shield upside down the entire time I owned it. That's why my boil times were always around 12 minutes instead of the 4 or 5 I kept reading about online. I felt like such an idiot standing there with my cold hot dog water. It's a stupid little stamped piece of metal and I never even looked at the picture in the manual. Has anyone else found out they were using a basic piece of gear wrong for years?
